6 Must See Horror Movies

For me when it comes to movie night nothing beats a good cover your eyes and jump out of your skin spooky flick.  I have made this list for the movies that I found to be pretty good at accomplishing a thrilling movie night with popcorn.

  1. The Conjuring (2013)

This is about a family who is being terrorized in their farmhouse by a dark presence. Two paranormal investigators try to help them.

  • The movie states that it is based on true event’s, which I think help’s to add some spookiness and makes it more spine chillingly real feeling.

2)The Blair Witch Project  (1999)

This is about film students who are shooting a documentary about the Blair Witch Legend.  The students Vanish in the forest, the only trace is their footage.

  • Of all the movies I have seen in a “footage” style this is by far the creepiest I have ever seen for me.  This movie is chilling and definitely not for the faint of heart when it comes to scary movies. It really makes you rethink the outdoors and abandoned buildings at night. I watched this 15 years ago and I still refuse to be in the woods at night.  This one should probably be watched with a buddy.

The Mist and Saw movies were way out there. Loved both of those. The First Blair Witch was good but they destroyed the second one something awful. That one they should have left alone!

    • Thank you for your comment Jenna. I guess for me it’s the thrill while watching it that I go for. But I have to be careful sometimes I find one that is too spooky for me.

  2. I don’t like scary movies, I’m that one person who will keep their eyes covered the whole movie! But my spouse likes them so I half-watched (forced!) Conjuring & Blair Witch. Will definitely share this list with the horror movie fanatic!

I have to admit that even though I know tons of people who love and watch scary movies, I’m not a fan of them. I appreciate the work that goes into making them but I just can’t watch them… too scary! 🙂

  4. This is a list that made me think of the few horror movies I’ve seen. I have a hard time with horror, because it is scary! It’s hard to convince me to watch a horror movie, but I think I’m going to give the Blair Witch a go. 🙂
