Potato & Sausage Rotini

This is a great dish to make with odd’s and ends.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 32 minutes

Serves: 6

What you need:

  • 5 mild Italian Sausages chopped
  • 1 large sweet onion chopped
  • 8 Small-Medium Red skin Potato(Yellow & white work as well)
  • 900 G Rotini pasta bag
  • 1300 ml Pasta Sauce
  • 2 cups shredded Marble cheese

Step 1:  Start off by chopping one large sweet onion, Add butter to your skillet and let this melt.  Now chop 8 small-medium red skin potatoes and add them along with the onion to your skillet.

Step 2:  In a large pot bring water to a boil, add a pinch of sea salt and a dab of vegetable oil to the water.  Add the Rotini pasta to the water and let cook for 12 minutes.

Step 3:  Over medium-high heat add your sauted onion and potato to a larger skillet. Also make sure to add your cooked sausage to the mix as well.  After this add your vegetable pasta sauce and mix well.  Mix every so often while it is heating. Photo 2016-08-09, 10 11 56 PM






Step 4:  After pasta is fully cooked and drained add the sauce mixture to it.  Thoroughly mix it all together and serve with shredded cheese on top.

    I don’t really eat meat but I’m sure this will be a hit with the family. It’s a lovely recipe and it’s really easy to put together too!
