This is a book that I had read in a book club I was apart of. The story follows three girls, who form a friendship as a way to survive life. They are outcasts, rebels and at times dreamers. They call themselves “The Bitch Posse” , the entire book is a constant jump between three characters Cherry, Rennie, and Amy. Each characters story jumps between the past and present. Their friendship is all encompassing and leads the girls down a dangerous path ending in one of the biggest mistakes of their lives.
The results are one stuck in an institution , the second is trying to live a “normal” life as a mother and the last is a writer living amongst a string of bad relationships.
- I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to put this book down. Because I was reading it for book club I trucked on and got it finished. I just couldn’t get into the book. The writing style is dry and very sparadic. There is no smooth trasition between present and past for any character she wrote, it was choppy and annoying. The pretty cover is the best part about this book.
