Knife: A Piece of Poetry

Words cut like a knife

 So far away,  so close

Innocence is lost

My trust in you gone

 Physical Signs gone

But that scar lingers on

I wanted to run

Help didn’t come

That pretty little Picture

Hides how ugly it was

Few words but such a strong message. People can be so unkind with their words. I know from experience. It has made me a better and stronger person though.

Pain is tough to deal with especially when the person who caused it is someone that you treasure. This is such a powerful poem.
