Deceit: A Piece of Poetry

Deceit runs deep

No end in sight

Past unlocked

Emotional armor lifted

Past washing in

 Unprotected from the stain

Caught unready by this blow

It feels so painful when you’re deceived by someone close to you. Such a moving poem, one that you’ll be able to relate to.

  2. Deceit is something that cannot be avoided. Even people whom you thought has a good character will probably have done something deceiful in their lives. All we can do is to accept it and manage it even though it hurts us.

That is beautifully written. My 7 year old daughter has just started to write poems. I love the depth that she writes with.

Such beautiful & strong words. Deceit. Betrayal. These usually come & happen when we least know it. I can so relate to your poem.
